This tutorial will give you step by step instructions on how to use Adobe Photoshop to create professional and modern looking banners in minutes.

Step 1: Make a new file with the dimensions of 700px x 200px with a white background



Step 2: Create a New Layer (Layer 2)
Step 3: Select the two colors you would like to use for your gradient in you banner
Step 4: Fill Layer 2 with the Gradient starting from bottom to the top, having the lighter color near the top



Step 5: Create a New Layer (Layer 3)
Step 6: Select 1/2 or 1/4 of the top portion of your whole canvas and fill Layer 3 with White



Step 7: Drop The Transparency of Layer 3 to ~15% *Note: This can be tweaked to suit your liking*



Step 8: Now it is time to add your text layers



Step 9: Congratulations, You Are Done. Now Save Your File and Use The New Banner
